"Switch" is an instrumental track consisting of layered acoustic guitars and very light percussion. The main riff is one that I had been messing around with since my college days, but it never seemed to fit into a song. I decided to turn the riff into a short instrumental song that could serve as a transition between to genres on an album. I'm pretty sure this album has more than a couple of different genres, despite my efforts to write something cohesive :) "Switch" was truly born when Scott Zschomler added the finger-picking and lead guitar parts to the song. The underlying synth acts as a "musical glue", holding together all of the pieces.
